Being a keen traveller, I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting places to visit. But alas...that scourge known as work keeps me from getting away too often. Travel tends to cost money too...

Upon the great fanfare and pomp that went with the release of Google Earth, I spent way too much time playing around and seeing just what I could see. I was hooked - I spent hours just browsing around the globe, discovering all sorts of wonders to the eye.

*bing* - a lightbulb went off in my head.

There is an excellent feature in GE where you can create a list of placemarks, and save them to a file. The .kmz file stores enough for you to save this list, and send them to anyone else who is also running GE. They load this file, loading a list of placemarks, and can replay a tour, flying around the virtual globe.

And thus was born GoogleTouring.
